Sun, 12 November 2006 Today, Sheila from Canada takes on the Big Questions. She is 22 \ years old, and is a Biology student interested in consciousness. She was a complete delight to talk to, and I didn't want to stop! I left the show a little long because I enjoyed her answers so much, I didn't want to cut very much of our conversation at all. Don't miss the 2nd half of the show where we discuss the chemistry of Love! As always, send me email at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Comments[1] |
Sun, 15 October 2006 Today we have a Skype interview with Andrew, age 36 who takes on the big questions of life. He is the father of 2 preschoolers, happily married, and a self described "featureless cubicle boy". Andrew is from England, and now living in the states. We talked for over 2 hours! I had to cut the show down to something manageable, and I think you will find him warm, funny, and wise. His views are that of a scientist who thinks the evidence for telepathy and things of that sort are rather compelling. It is a delightful and unique take we haven't heard yet on U.Q. I know you will enjoy this show! Comments[2] |
Sun, 24 September 2006 This show is a Skype interview with Dana, age 29, the girl with pink hair from St. Johns, Newfoundland. Dana is the creator of the podcast BLARM at www.blarmcast.com. Dana takes on the "big questions" with intelligence, humor, and laughter - and at the end we discuss sex, love, what the heck it is guys want, and body image problems of women - like two girlfriends chatting on the phone. The show is over a week late, because I hopelessly tried to get 100 delightful minutes with Dana, down to a managable 50 minutes. An impossible task! Join in the fun, and give it a listen. Write to me, just to chat, or volunteer to do a show yourself at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Comments[0] |
Mon, 28 August 2006 Interview with Erin, Age 30. She if from Utah, Phlebotomist, artist, and cohost of the Choose The Left podcast. She is great fun, and we laughed a lot. What a joy she was, with sad/funny/wise answers to the Big Questions. Please write to me, with ideas, big questions or to volunteer yourself to be interviewed via Skype at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Comments[4] |
Wed, 9 August 2006 Today I ask the Big Questions of Christiana, Age 29 from Utah. Of herself, she says "I'm a Capricorn with Moon in Pisces". She is agnostic, funny, sensible yet quirky, a total dear. Give it a listen! Please email me with comments, ideas, new "Big Question" ideas, or to volunteer to be interviewed via Skype (or in person, if you are ever in Minneapolis!) at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Comments[1] |
Sat, 22 July 2006 This is the Uncomfortable Questions 1 year Anniversary Show. It is a Skype interview with Jake Cordova, age 31, a power seller on Ebay, a Humanist, and an Athiest surrounded by Mormans in Utah! We had an amazing, wonderful talk, on dealing with a religious town while being an Athiest, how being a diabetic from the age of 3 changes your views of life, the facinating story of divorcing his wife to save their deep frienship of 13 years, and many other subjects. This is a don't miss episode! Jake is also one of the hosts on Choose The Left podcast, a funny and quirky show he does with his ex-wife Erin. It made the top 10 in the Podcast Pickle Cast Wars. Congratulations Jake and Erin! You can get to their show at http:\\ctlcast.com Please email me with comments or to volunteer to be interviewed at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net. Wed, 5 July 2006 Today is a Skype interview where we hear the philosophies of life from Patrick Brumbaugh - age 28, an optimistic realist, I.T. Support guy, lover of physics and science. Patrick is sometimes heard on the podcast www.AShantyNoLemon.com By the way, you can also hear me on the 6/28/06 show from that same site. The creator of the podcast interviewed me about my show. It was strange to be on the other side of the conversation! Please write to me at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Comments[3] |
Sat, 17 June 2006 This is a special show - and Skype interview to Lynoure, Age 30, Linux Geek from Finland!! She and I overcame many technical problems for 2 hours, just to get the Skype connection that allowed us to do the interview. But she stayed with me, and the results are worthi it! Lynoure is a darling, and we talked not only about the big questions, but got a Finnish cultural perspective on many things, and we ended with a discussion on solipsism ( a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing), and overcomming depression. To say nothing of superpowers! Enjoy! As usual, write to me at uncomfortable-question@tcinternet.net. Comments[2] |
Sun, 28 May 2006 I'm back from a New England vacation, and trying to get back on track. The first new show in a month - but it's worth the wait! This show is an interview with John Vardell, age 32. He is a member of the electro/industrial/goth band Automne Vein - check out their web page and listen to some of the music at:
I really liked many of his views on life - but his last words really hit me. I am trying to remember them, and follow that wise advice everyday! As always - email me at uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Comments[2] |
Sat, 29 April 2006 Today I ask the "big questions" of Manly Geek, age 44 and one of the 3 primary Webmasters for the Marine Corp. He is full of amazing philosophy, and quite the life experiences. I adore this guy. He recently began a podacast of his own - please give it a listen at: The Manly Geek Show I also play a promo for his show at the end of my podcast. It is beautifully done, and gave me a smile. Comments[0] |

Sun, 19 March 2006 This is a unique and special interview with David C. My ex-roomate, friend of 25 years, and in recovery from his 3rd Major Depression "Smack-down", as he calls it. It is the most open, intelligent, soul searching look at major depression from the inside.
You can see more of David on our video podcast at:

Sun, 5 March 2006 Another astonishing show with a member of the English Band - "3 Blind Mice". This is Lyndon, age 51 "in a state of arrested development". He is a charmer to be sure. Alex from last show and Victoria chimed in during the interview and it ended up in some great stuff. I would give anything to go hang out with these guys in England. Oh the talks we could have!

Sat, 25 February 2006 Hey all! The hosting service was down on and off much of this last week.
The poor "Alex Interview" has about half the downloads of usual.
As it is an exceptional show, I am going to leave it up for another week.
I will post the Lyndon Interview next Saturday.
Please, listen to the Alex show! It is worth hearing!
I am considering going to an every 2 week posting schedule, anyways.
The weekly is grueling, It takes about 15 hours to get you a show every week,
and interview volunteers are getting harder to come by. I've used up all the
people I know who will do it, and now I'm totally dependent on listeners stepping
up, or forcing their friends into it.
So again, I need people to interview, and if you have Skype (it is a free download
at www.skype.com) and a microphone and earphones - feel free to write to me
and we'll set something up!
Thanks so much for all the support you have given this show. Category: podcasts -- posted at: 11:16 PM Comments[0] |
Sun, 19 February 2006 Alex is 40 years old, and a co-songwriter with Lyndon in the English Band - 3 Blind Mice.
This was an interview via Skype to London.
Alex was tremendously eloquent, funny, and a sheer delight to listen to. This is a must listen show. You will be a poorer person, if you don't!
Visit the 3 Blind Mice website - and llisten to a music clip or buy a CD. They are a unique and amazing band, with beautiful voices and stellar musicianship! www.catsaway.com You can Email me at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Comments[1] |
Sat, 11 February 2006 This interview was done over the internet via Skype, to Anthony, Age 30. He is a self proclaimed tall, dark and suave Italian - but he really does the podcast "A Shanty No Lemon"
Columbus, Ohio's Original Gay Podcast.
Anthony is the most delightful entertaining combination of gay and geek, and someone I would love to just hang out with. What fun!

Sun, 5 February 2006 A quick apology for no show this week. The Zombies ate my brain. Really. I'm too sick to do the show. Read all about my sickness adventures in my personal blog at:
suegrandys.blogspot.com
Or send kind Email to the sick person at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Or just catch up on some old interviews you haven't heard. Come on, have you really heard all 30 of them? What about the fantabulous one where I interview myself? The numbers were kinda low on that one, (you were all off doing your Christmas things) and I thought I did a good job. Go on! Give it a listen!Comments[0] |

Sat, 31 December 2005 Today I pose the big questions to Charles, age 26, self described as "some geek kid". This one is very reflective and interesting to me as I worked with him for 3 years, and he was the one who dyed his hair blue and turned cartwheels down the hall, and was always the life of the party with his booming laugh! We end up in the strangest places in life, and in our heads.

Sat, 24 December 2005 In this show, I interview myself! I promised all my guests this show, at #25 - where I would tackle the big questions myself. So here is what I think of it all, at least at this point in my life. I put it up with some nervousness - and I really hope you enjoy it!

Sun, 18 December 2005 This show is another Skype interview, over the internet, of one of my listeners. I ask the "big questions" of Herb, Age "40-something". He teaches Human Sexuality at Austin, Texas Community College. An amazing, funny, wise, delightful human being who is one of those people who just makes you feel good. I smiled for hours after this interview!

interview with Paul V. 24 years old, a High Voltage Engineer from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

So I grabbed Cayenne (interviewee #1) and he and I tackled some special questions in a discussion. We take on "What is Truth"? and "Are Truth and Honesty Different"? Hear us back ourselved into corners, we can't get out of!
Hope you enjoy this special edition! Comments[0] |
