Welcome! Today's Christmas Eve show is in 2 parts.
First we hear a late answer to the "What is the Universe?" show from Herb - a delightful professor from Texas who was the guest on show #24. Then I ask a new question for the audience and look at it a little myself. This show's question, is: If we are here for a reason, are we here to explore the me, or transcend the me? Please send your answers to me at sue.grandys@gmail.com The files can be audio .mp3 recordings of yourself answering it, or just type up your answer in an email, and I'll read it on the next show. Gmail can handle file sized of about 20 MB (17 MB realistically, with overhead). If your file is larger, please send it in parts, in successive emails. Please write or send me audio for the next show by January 26th. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! |

We got into depression, alcoholism, and coming out of all that into a more hopeful view of life and the universe. Michael was a most open, honest, heartwarming person. I adored doing this interview. And as always, email me at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net. |

This show is the answers to the question posed last month -
What is the Universe? 6 people tackled the question in this new experimental format. We heard from : - David C., from show #34 - Graviton Ring, show #48 - http://gravitonring.googlepages.com/ - Darren Blackshaw, a new listener - DragonLordALS, from NASA and show #51 - Anthony, show #31 - www.AShantyNoLemon.com - Cayenne, show #1 - www.tekdiff.com I loved the show, with philosophies from way out there, to the hard sciences. Thanks everyone for participating! Let me know if you like this format or the old style interview, or maybe would like a mix of both? Write to me or volunteer for an interview at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net |

Hey all! My new format isn't working.
I asked for emal answers (or recorded sound - .mp3 files) as answers to the question I posed in the last show - "What is the Universe". Sadly I have only received 2 email answers so far, and the deadline was yesterday. I don't have enough material to do the next show. I'm changing the deadline to October 13th, in the hopes that I get more. Please participate! Thanks so much - Sue Category:general

What is the Universe? to the listening audience. Please look at the Hubble Deep Space picture at: http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/2004/07/image/a/format/large_web/ Ponder this picture, think about the Universe and send me sound (mp3) files (64 kb is fine, 96, or 128 kb is good too) - or send an email with the thoughts and answers to this question. I'll read or play the files on the next show. I try to start tackling the question myself on this show, and hope to have better conclusions after I hear from all of you. Please send your mp3 recorded answers or your email answers to: sue.grandys@gmail.com I will need the answers by October 5th, so I can get the show up by the following week. Please, please, please join in the conversation! I need you! |

He is a Vegan, male prostitute from Minnesota. A monophobic who loves philosophy and people. (Oh yeah, and sex). It is a charming, irrepressible, and slightly nilistic combination. What fun it was to talk with him! I'm exploring the possibility of changing the show. I just passed my 2 year anniversary of the podcast, and am rapidly losing audience for the last 2 shows. I suspect you might be getting a little bored? One idea is to ask one "big question" each show, and ask for listeners to send in .mp3's or email with their answers. Of course that would depend on you all getting involved. What do you think? Email me at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net |

MC/VL - a rapidly rising Minneapolis based band. For more about MC/VL check out their myspace page at www.myspace.com/mcvl To hear the amazing Drew (Professor BX), give a listen to "Cold Check It" on that page. One of my favorite show offs of Drew's D.J. work. And as always, email me at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net Volunteers are welcome! |

Today's show is with Linda, age 59. She is from Salt Lake City, retired from State employment, and having the time of her life. She sang for 20 years in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, traveled all over, taught the sight impaired, and has had quite the interesting life.
I found her straightforward, yet such a kind person. Religious, yet open to anyone and full of mirth. I totally enjoyed talking with Linda! And as always, email me at: uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net |

He is a most enjoyable talker, and this show ends up being mostly about relationships and sex. Give it a listen! -------------------- The song at the end of the show is the long promised song (from previous guests Alex and Lyndon and their band 3 Blind Mice) from their new CD release Good Grief. The song is my person favorite off that CD - How Will I Know? Their CD's are available on itunes, or visit their web page at www.catsaway.com. ------------------- As always, email me at uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net |

He was engaging and delightful and we spent most of the interview talking about Christianity and sex and relationships. Quite the interesting combination! For more from Scot, go to his core website at http://www.deservewhatyouwant.com --------------------------------- The song I play at the end of the show is from previous guests Alex and Lyndon and their band 3 Blind Mice. It is from the CD - Before They Were Famous - vol 1 - and the song is one of my all time favorites The Bear Lies Down. You can get their music from "itunes" or their website: http://www.catsaway.com -------------------------------- As always, email me at uncomfortable-questions@tcinternet.net. |
